What is field recording?

Field recording consist of recording by yourself sounds effects or sound ambiance you could need for your production. It's really easy to do, as you only need a minidisc and a mike.

When can I do field recording?

Almost at anytime! You can even record the sound ambiance in a toy shop or the silence of a church. And naturally, you can record musical instruments in action such as trumpet or harmonica.

What is the quality of the record?

It depends of the quality of the mike you're using as well as the type of minidisc, but if you have talent, your recording can be excellent after some adjusting and practice.
